Mary Ford-Sussman

Modern Dance

A native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Mary Ford-Sussman first experienced dance as an expressive and performing art through the training of Loyce Houlton, director of the Minnesota Dance Theatre. Mary's early studies not only provided her with a solid foundation in ballet and modern dance technique, but also sparked a creative power that has persisted throughout her life, feeding both her drive for inner explorations and her desire to share with others through performance, teaching and choreography.

   

Mary attended Smith College where she received a Bachelor of Arts, graduating with High Honors for her original choreography and written thesis in dance. Since that time Mary has enjoyed an extensive career in the Modern Dance field, most notably as a dancer with the Limon Dance Company and in collaboration with Master Choreographer Mary Anthony. Her performances are marked for their dramatic intensity, luminous depth, and nuanced musicality. Mary has shared her passion and expertise with dance students in the US and abroad through her teaching and choreography. She has most recently held teaching positions at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City and The Masters School in Dobbs Ferry.

Meghan Covington

Toddler Yoga, Prenatal/Postnatal Fitness

Meghan Covington is a National Strength and Conditioning Association certified personal trainer. She also obtained her RYT-200 hour certification through Yoga to the People and her prenatal yoga teacher training through Om Yoga Center in New York City. In addition, Meghan is certified in Women's Special Populations (prenatal, postnatal, menopause, autoimmune diseases, and breast/ovarian cancers) and Movement Skills Development for Children. She has experience training men, women, and children of all fitness levels both one on one and in classroom settings. Her creative mind/body approach to fitness helps clients reach their ultimate potential both physically and mentally.

   

Meghan has also been featured in American Baby Magazine, DNAinfo New York, and the Washington Post.

Claudia Stoltman

Teen & Adult Ballet

Claudia Jill Stoltman, MA, is a classically trained dancer, choreographer, visual artist and educator. Her classes are enriching and fluid, nurturing the possibility in each student, with a keen understanding of educational development. Her performance, choreography and teaching credits include Brown University, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, Greenwich Academy, The Masters School, Lincoln Center, Portland Ballet and Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. Her work has been exhibited in New York and New England galleries and she is a published UNICEF artist.

   

Presently, Claudia spends her time teaching, performing and presenting classically based programs in the arts. She is also developing a ballet story children's book.

Kris Sullivan

Matrix, Personal Training

Kris has been in the health and wellness field for over 7 years. He is a Certified Personal Trainer, certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), as well as a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist, licensed in both New York and Connecticut, through the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy.

   

Over the years, Kris has gained experience from New York Sports Club, LA Fitness, YMCA, and in-home personal training to shape his unique approach. He also worked with the Muscle Harmony Consulting Practice where he performed neuromuscular massage, muscle testing and Applied Biomechanics. Kris has worked at the top rated Day Spa in Westchester and, in 2011, was even featured in Westchester Magazine’s Health and Fitness Issue.

   

For the last several years, Kris has been working with Gray Institute which focuses on combining physics, biology and personal behavior to determine the best healthcare strategies and techniques for each individual. This method is known as Applied Functional Science.

   

Using a variety of tests and exercises, Kris applies his considerable knowledge of the body to evaluate a client’s present level of ability and determine their needs. Based on his assessment he is able to construct a program specially tailored to aid that individual in reaching their physical potential.
